The Fishing Shack

Newport, Oregon

At the Fishing Shack, the deck cantilevers out toward the river and makes you feel like you are on the water. If you have a pole, you can cast directly into the river from the deck. This micro-house goes vertical to make the most of its 225sf footprint. The vaulted ceilings make the home feel spacious. High windows and skylights bring in light from every angle. This reduces the need for electric lighting and balances the glare that can reflect off the river. With a kitchenette, full bathroom, and laundry amenities, the Fishing Shack makes you wonder what else you really need. Photography by Crystal Frost Photography
