First House

Newport, Oregon

First House was a typical midcentury ranch with the potential for massive views and entertainment space. An extensive renovation transformed First House into a spacious open floor plan. The master bedroom was relocated to an addition that captures a stunning view of the Yaquina Bay Bridge. Above the master suite are bedrooms and play spaces for children. Entertainment spaces spill outside to make the most of the views on the hilltop. Playful details such as in-floor planters, wood-clad accent walls, and illuminated soffits create rich layers of texture inside. Photography by Crystal Frost Photography
